I drag my window to the size I want using the bottom right corner.

When I open Excel again the window is a different size and I have to drag it
again.

All the other Macintosh windows remain the same when you open them again.

I have tried protect book, window and it's the same problem.

How do I get the window to remain the same size?

If you're talking about saved documents, XL opens the window at the same
size and position that it was last saved in.

If you're talking about a new document, XL opens the window at the size
of the template the document is based on.

By default, XL uses an internal template. You can't change the position
or size.

You can create a new default template by creating a new workbook, sizing
it the way you want (and setting the number of worksheets, formats,
etc.) and saving it as a template, named "Workbook" (no quotes, no
extension), in the Microsoft Office X:Office:Start:Excel folder.
Workbooks created using File/New will be based on this template. You can
create a one-sheet template named "Sheet" (again, no extension, no
quotes) in the same location for a custom sheet to be inserted using
insert/Worksheet.
